Online registration will open Sept. 1, 2019.
Mail-in registration must be postmarked by Saturday, Nov. 23. Download and complete the registration form.
You also can register during packet pick-up the night before the race between 5-8 p.m. or on race day beginning at 7 a.m. in the main ballroom of Lake Mohawk Country Club. If you are registering in person, please print out the registration form and bring it with you.
No, you can download the registration form and mail it to us. In order to ensure it is processed prior to the race, it must be postmarked by Saturday, Nov. 23. Or register in person on Wednesday, Nov. 27 from 5-8 at packet pick-up or Thurs. Nov 28 starting at 7 am at the Lake Mohawk Country Club.
Yes, but we encourage you to register ahead of time to save time and money! You can register on race day starting at 7 a.m. or the day before during packet-pick up between 5-8 pm. Packet pick-up and race day registration will be in the main ballroom of the Lake Mohawk Country Club. If you are registering in person, please download the registration form and bring it with you.
Packet pick-up begins Wednesday, Nov. 27 between 5-8 p.m. in the Main Ballroom of the Lake Mohawk Country Club. Don't forget to join us for the annual pasta party on the boardwalk in front of the Lake Mohawk Country Club where you can meet your fellow runners and size up the competition! The pasta party, catered by Villa Capri, is free for registered runners and guests are only $5.
Packets also can be picked up the morning of the race beginning at 7 a.m. in the ballroom.
Yes, but please be sure you will be able to get the packet to the runner. Once the bib has been issued we will not be able to make a duplicate.
Below is a list of available parking lots on race day. Please pay attention to posted signs and do not park where prohibited.
- Lake Mohawk Country Club parking lot on West Shore Trail
- Mohawk Avenue School at 18 Mohawk Ave
- Coldwell Banker or Theatre Centre on Woodport Road
Yes, we welcome dogs and strollers. We do ask that anyone participating with a dog or stroller please start at the back of the pack. We have participants that are USATF members and use the results from this race for points.
A 5k --3.1 miles -- is attainable for most active people. You are not required to run the entire race and many people walk the course and are done in under an hour. Remember the goal is to have fun while raising money for Sparta Public Schools.
If you have a goal in mind or are new to running a 5K, there are many online resources for you. Here are a few favorites:
NO! "Banditting" is running a race without registering. This is a fundraising event and the proceeds are used to support Sparta Schools.
No, there are no refunds. Even if the race is canceled due to severe weather conditions or other unforseen circumstances, there will be no refunds. Please remember the proceeds of the race are going to support our schools.
